MA Psychological Therapies, Psychodynamic Psychotherapist working with children, adolescents & parents,
Member British Psychoanalytic Council & Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists
Specialising in psychotherapy working with children, adolescents and parents.
I am a psychotherapist working with children, adolescents, parents and individuals up to 26 years of age. I offer therapeutic support for a wide range of issues including anxiety, low mood, high levels of anger, eating disorders, compulsive behaviours, low self-esteem, abuse and trauma.
I trained at The Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust as a psychodynamic psychotherapist working with children, young people, parents and young adults. I am also trained in systemic therapy, a way of working which I feel enhances my understanding both of the young people with whom I work and their surrounding environments. Prior to joining The CDC.London, I was a clinician within Social Services offering therapeutic support as part of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services team (CAMHS), working with a range of needs and high-level trauma. I also have extensive experience providing therapy in schools with the organisation Place 2 Be.
I offer both short- and long-term interventions depending on the needs of the young person. Wherever possible, I seek to work collaboratively with the family and network around the child or young person.
